The Baltimore Streetcar Museum restores and operates historic streetcars that were once a vital part of public transportation in Baltimore. Its 1-mile route has a unique double-track section providing execellent photo opportunities for railfans.

NCTM operates several streetcars on a scenic 1-mile track through Northwest Branch Park. Its spacious new visitor center opened in 2009 after a fire destroyed the original center and several cars in 2003.

Founded in 1945 to preserve the unique heritage of the trolley car, the museum operates the Branford Electric Railway, the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the U.S.

The largest museum in the U.S. devoted to urban public transportation history. The Transit Museum is housed in a historic 1936 IND subway station in Brooklyn Heights. It also operates an annex in Grand Central Terminal.

Seashore Trolley Museum

The oldest (1939) and largest museum in the world dedicated to the preservation and operation of over 250 urban and interurban transit vehicles on over four miles of track.

Connecticut Trolley Museum

Owned by the Connecticut Electric Railway Association (CERA), the museum operates a 1.5-mile heritage railroad over the original right-of-way of the Hartford and Springfield Street Railway Company.

Riverhead and Greenport, New York

The Riverhead site is where the restoration of museum rolling stock takes place. The Greenport site has a permanent exhibit of railroad artifacts as well as regularly changing exhibits.
