Transit photographer Eric Oszustowicz will be presenting a slide program showcasing the subway cars that New Yorkers rode over the last 100 years. The program will be a fully narrated pictorial history of each class of car, showing where and when they operated and how their appearance changed over the years. The original steel subway cars operated into the 1950s. The period of their replacement to the present will be the focus of this program. Besides the photography of the presenter, the photography of Douglas Grotjahn and others will also be shown.
