We deeply regret to announce the death of Harold H. Geissenheimer, former president of the ERA, professional transportation executive, top manager of several large transit agencies, major in the Pennsylvania National Guard, avid supporter of electric railways and dear friend, on January 7, 2010.
The ERA plans a memorial dinner at Il Campanello Restaurant on Friday, April 9th at 6:00 PM to remember Harold and reflect on his life and accomplishments. Harold was revered as a great figure in our transportation industry and in the Pennsylvania National Guard. We hope that people from the various elements of Harold’s life will speak after the meal about these accomplishments, share anecdotes, his idiosyncrasies and good works. A complete sit-down dinner is planned from the restaurant’s menu, including coffee and dessert, for $60 per person. Alcoholic beverages will be available from the bar at your own expense.
Il Campanello is located at 132 West 31st Street, Manhattan, only one-half block east of Pennsylvania Station, and is quite convenient to subways, buses, Amtrak, NJ Transit and LIRR trains.
Hopefully, you will join us and others from the myriad of positions he held to recall what Harold accomplished in his life and to remember how much better we are because of our friendship and association with this great leader. Fill out the coupon (PDF download below) and send it to us along with your check by March 30, 2010 so we can make final arrangements with the restaurant.
