After lunch at Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Blue Mountain Service Plaza, we will visit the Rockhill Trolley Museum in Rockhill Furnace, Pa. and the Altoona Metro Transit (AMTRAN) transit center in Altoona, Pa. Following check-in at the DoubleTree, dinner is on your own.
Visits to Port Authority of Allegheny County’s West Mifflin and Collier facilities; lunch at South Hills Village mall in Bethel Park, Pa.; Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, Pa.; and buffet dinner at Adams Pine Creek in Washington, Pa. Possible special bus ride!
A visit to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Hayden Depot at Windermere; lunch and on-your-own time in Cleveland (bus, light and heavy rail); dinner at Guarino’s.
On-your-own day in Pittsburgh. The perfect opportunity to plan your day according to your interests (buses, light rail, inclines, freight rail, local architecture, or just plain sightseeing) in the unique Golden Triangle!
Hotel check-out. For the drive home we’ve planned visits to the Brookville Equipment Corporation (a rail car manufacturer) in Brookville, Pa.; DuFAST Transit in DuBois, Pa.; lunch; River Valley Transit in Williamsport, Pa.; and dinner at the Pioneer Diner in Mount Pocono, Pa. Estimated return to Manhattan at 9:30 PM.
Times Square | 8:00 AM Stop #1 meets on 8th Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets, in front of the New York Times building. We will be leaving at 8:00 sharp!
Ticket includes round trip Coach Tours bus fare, four nights at the DoubleTree Hotel and all trolley museum admissions. Meals are on your own and not included in the ticket price. MNYBA trips usually run close to capacity, so register early to avoid disappointment. The sign-up deadline is July 11. No tickets will be sent, and no refunds are possible.
