Our May program will be presented by Eric Oszustowicz. His slide presentation will cover the New York Subway system from the late 1960s through the mid 1980s.
We have not had a NYC subway presentation in quite some time, but Eric’s show will more than make up for this absence. His presentation will focus on R-1 through R-44 cars and will include detailed narration regarding car assignment history and basic operations. All of the car types to be shown have since been removed from service.
Much of the subway fleet was rebuilt during the 1980s. All views will show the fleet as it was before rebuilding. All routes will be covered including routes that no longer exist such as the EE and QJ lines.
