June 15, 2012

Josh Goldwitz will present our June program. Josh will cover several rail systems he travelled on during a recent trip to Japan. These include the Nagano and Tokaido Shinkansen, conventional services such as the Nagano Electric Railway and Narita Express, and Tokyo-area services including the Yurikamome and Yamanote lines.

The journey will feature a range of electric rolling stock, ranging from rubber-tired metro vehicles to narrow-gauge tilting intercity trains to the latest high-speed trains. Josh will also share a few tips on using the Japan Rail Pass and highlight a few of the technologies that make the Series N700 one of the most advanced high-speed fleets in the world.

Please join us on June 15. This show, from a new presenter, is not to be missed!
