It’s Super 8 Movie Night!

Gary Grahl (ERA #2823), whose Super 8 movie nights have become an annual tradition, will be the presenter of our November meeting. His presentation, “The Return of the Trolley,” will include:
- Charlotte, North Carolina: An excellent example of an expanding light rail system at its most creative, making major changes in this city;
- Pittsburgh: From PCC local trolley hill-climbers to a modern light rail system;
- San Francisco: Views of the L-Taraval Street and J-Church Street lines, from PCC to light rail operation;
- Philadelphia: Historic PCC operations on 53/Wayne Avenue (first PCC line) and 56/Erie-Torresdale Avenues lines; and
- Cleveland: Scenes from Shaker Heights Rapid Transit — an early version of suburban light rail — from Peter Witts, to PCCs, to light rail.
