It’s been a good year for world traveler and renowned photographer Jack May (ERA #2275). Jack was able to accomplish a great deal of foreign travel in the past 365 days and will present a show combining highlights of his journeys at our December meeting.
He’ll first take us to Egypt, where in February Jack visited the rapid transit system in Cairo and the streetcar operations in Alexandria (right) and Heliopolis. We’ll then travel to the center of light rail development in Europe — France. For the past decade the operative word in that country has been expansion, and Jack will take us to 12 cities where either entire new systems have been built or new lines have been added. Among the places on the schedule are Lyon, Grenoble, St. Etienne, Montpellier, Marseilles, Nice and Le Mans.
