Our June show will be presented by Paul Gawkowski. Paul will present a combination show featuring the ERA’s May 2010 tour of Romania and a recap of the ERA’s September 2009 convention in Los Angeles.
Romania is a virtual operating trolley museum, with the 11 systems the ERA tourists visited outside of Bucharest operating cars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s from Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands, mostly in their original paint schemes. With 25 routes, Bucharest is a world-class system, ranking right up there with Milan, Vienna, Prague and Budapest.
The Los Angeles section of Paul’s show will showcase Orange Empire, the Oceanside Sprinter, San Diego Trolley’s new line, and the Los Angeles Red Line and Gold Line shop tours.
