Our July program will be presented by Andrew Grahl, program chairman of the N.Y. Division. Andrew’s show will consist of slides on the following subjects:
- Seattle’s new Sounder light rail system and the South Lake Union streetcar system;
- Portland’s new WES commuter rail system (ERA convention preview) and light rail;
- Vancouver’s West Coast Express commuter rail;
- Los Angeles’ subway, light rail (including new Gold Line extension) and Metrolink commuter rail with leased NJ Transit equipment;
- Phoenix’s new light rail system;
- Charlotte’s light rail system with historic streetcar operation;
- NY metro area updates including Second Avenue Subway construction, Staten Island Railway diesels at new homes, and much more local news.
The presentation will end with a snowy ride on the White Pass & Yukon Railroad to help keep cool during the hot summer days! Those who have attended Andrew’s shows know this is not to be missed!
