Our September meeting will be a joint presentation with the New York Railroad Enthusiasts (NYRRE). The first half will consist of a digital images from noted ERA rail icon William Vigrass. Bill is unable to attend, so his images will be presented by Randy Glucksman, Commuter Notes editor of the Bulletin. The following subjects will be covered:
- PATCO’s search for new cars
- PATCO’s car overhaul program
- The Mt. Washington Railway
The second half of the show will be a 35mm slide presentation from the NYRRE’s Allan Roberts. Allan is a noted author of several railroad books and will present a slideshow called Keystone Memories. The following Pennsylvania Railroad subjects will be included:
- Sunnyside Yard
- Penn Station
- West 37th Street Yard
- Bergen Hill Tunnels
- Meadows Engine Facilities
This show will cover many topics from two famous rail historians. Please come and join us as this is a show not to be missed.
Business Meeting
Before the start of the program we will have a short business session to discuss matters related to the N.Y. Division. If you have anything you wish to bring up, this is the time to do so.
