Our November show will be presented by Program Chairman Andrew Grahl. Andrew’s slideshow will cover many different topics:

Commuter Rail — New systems in Austin and Minneapolis will be covered. An update segment including views of MARC, VRE, METRA and MBTA will also be included.

Light Rail — Slides from the first week of the TIDE in Norfolk will be shown. There will also be views from Cleveland, New Orleans and Minneapolis.

Subway — Slides from the recent ERA convention in Chicago.

Amtrak / Rail — A tribute to Amtrak’s 40th anniversary, including pictures of specially painted locomotives. There will also be scenes of the Saratoga & North Creek Railroad, the newest tourist line in North America.

Several other topics are planned if time permits, including an update segment of rail around New York City. Those who have attended Andrew’s shows in the past know this is not one to be missed.

The Electric Railroaders Association is a non-profit educational organization consisting of people from all walks of life interested in the history and progress of electric railways.

The ERA was founded August 15, 1934 by Edwin Jay (E.J.) Quinby, 1894-1981.
